Brief Description:

Join us for our first Printing Party! Please note this is NOT a class. This is an evening to bring in your current relief block printing projects to print (if you have never done block printing before please consider signing up for the 2D Open Studio and emailing blacksburg@facnrv.org in advance that you would like to use the class for block cutting). We will have a Woodzilla press (able to print up to 9x12 blocks... for larger prints we also have baren and spoons for hand printing) available for use and other tools like inking plates and rollers for those who are not ready to invest in their own press equipment or for anyone who simply wants to print with community! 

Scrap paper for test prints will be available but please plan to bring your own paper for nicer prints. We will also provide Black Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink, but if you want to use other colors you will need to bring your own ink. Please note you can also make etching prints with the equipment we have but you will need to bring your own ink regardless of color as relief ink and etching ink are very different consistencies!
