Opportunities for Artists
As part of our mission is to support the arts and artists of the New River Valley, we offer several opportunities for local artists to show or sell their work. We focus on handmade, original artworks from local artists. Please review the opportunities listed below and stop by occasionally as new opportunities become available.
Call to Artists: Menagerie 2026
The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley invites artists residing within the New River Valley to participate in Menagerie 2026, our annual community exhibition celebrating the creativity, diversity, and talent of local artists.
Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. Submitted artwork must have been created within the past year.
Last year's Menagerie featured 85 works by 35 artists from across the New River Valley, making it one of the region's largest and most diverse community art exhibitions.

Call Ends: July 18, 2026
Artwork Drop-Off: July 22–25, 2026
Exhibition Installation: July 29–August 1, 2026
Exhibition On View: August 5–September 26, 2026
Opening Reception: August 13, 2026
Artwork Pick-Up: September 30–October 3, 2026
Entry Fees
FACNRV Members: Free
Non-Members: $5 per piece
Eligibility & Entry Information
Open to artists residing within the New River Valley.
Artwork must have been completed within the past year.
Artists may submit up to four works.
All media are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, mixed media, wood, metal, and more.
People's Choice Award
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artwork throughout the run of the show. The artwork receiving the most votes will be recognized with the $100 Menagerie 2026 People's Choice Award.
Menagerie is one of the Fine Arts Center's most anticipated exhibitions of the year, bringing together artists from across the region in a vibrant showcase of recent work. Whether you're an emerging artist sharing your work publicly for the first time or an established creative with a long exhibition history, Menagerie offers an opportunity to connect with fellow artists and engage with the community.
Exhibiting Artist Application
Submit an application to be considered for exhibit at the Edna B. Love Gallery at the Fine Arts Center in Pulaski.
Application for Our Gift Shops
Submit an application to have your work at either our main Pulaski location or our Blacksburg Satellite location.
Class & Workshop Proposal
The Center offers classes for children and adults. Local artists and art teachers can apply to teach a short workshop, one-or-two day class, or a series of classes.
Musician Interest Form
We host a variety of musical events throughout the year and welcome introductions from local musicians. Please complete this short form and be sure to include a link to samples of your performances.
