Brief Description:

This workshop introduces participants to the use of handmade pinhole cameras, silver-based photo paper handling and exposure, paper development, and contact printing. The instructor will provide paint cans with pre drilled holes, then participants will complete construction of these simple cameras in class. The method for camera creation will be covered in detail.

We will load paper into our cameras and make outdoor exposures. Upon returning to the classroom with the camera, participants will hand-process the negatives and be shown how to contact print those images in order to create a positive. Students will keep any images that they create.
