Young and adult artists alike have been known to turn their artistic talents to honoring characters, celebrities, and other artists in many genres. Some fan art may celebrate fictional characters found in comics, books, television shows, or movies. Others may focus on real people whom artists have made a connection with, either through listening to them sing, watching them act, or otherwise share their talents.

You’ll notice that one of these examples of fan art lands squarely in two categories: fan art and anime-influenced art. But let’s not ignore the influence of popular singers who are also represented here.
