Second Saturday Online Workshop: Where “Zen” Meets Doodles (Jan. 9 @ 2:00 p.m.)
What is a “tangle?”
Perhaps you’ve seen this form of art known as “zendoodles” or the Zentangle® Art Method created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas in the U.S. This couple was looking for a way to invite the “non-artist” to combine art with a form of meditation or quieting the mind, and this is the result! It can also be seen as a form of art which mirrors the geometric and fractal nature of the patterns found throughout creation.
This FREE workshop will last approximately 1 hour and is facilitated by a Pulaski tangler, Terrie Sternberg (not a certified Zentagle instructor, just a hobbiest who enjoys the beauty of zendoodling.)
The goal is for participants to experience the benefits of zendoodling:
Relaxation / Meditation, Mental Focus
Expand your imagination, trust your creativity
Enjoy playing with contrast, weight, flow, movement as you draw
Become part of a supportive and enjoyable community of “tanglers”
Have fun!
