This exhibition is part of a an exciting moment for the Fine Arts Center and Pulaski. Through support from the Appalachian Regional Commission, and in partnership with ‘Round the Mountain, the Town of Pulaski has commissioned a major new mural on the exterior of the Fine Arts Center. Following a nationwide selection process, artist Jay Scott was chosen for his design, Inspiration Starts Here, which reflects both the natural beauty of our region and a forward-looking sense of creativity and optimism.
To mark this occasion, we are bringing together a select group of artists with connections to Pulaski and the Fine Arts Center to exhibit work that reflects what inspires them. We would be honored to include your work in this exhibition.
We are seeking one work per artist (or two or three smaller works), and we leave the selection up to you. The work does not need to be new.
Prompt:
We are hoping to learn what inspires you and to showcase your inspiration through your work. Some artists may be inspired by the natural elements of the community. Others may be inspired by community members themselves. Others may be inspired by our history or even take a future look that they represent in their art. Your inspiration may be even less tangible. There is no restriction.
Exhibition on view: June 3 – July 25
