Join us for the opening reception and artist talk for "Connemara to the Blue Ridge," a solo exhibition of paintings by Floyd artist Sarah Hasty Williams.

The exhibit will be on view October 16 – November 15, 2025, and features watercolor and mixed-water media works that capture landscapes, flora, fauna, and living things from two mountain regions deeply connected across time and culture: Connemara in County Galway, Ireland, and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Weaving is one of the oldest crafts humans engage in. Weaving can result in baskets, walls for shelters, cloth, and different kinds of art. November’s Creative Club will learn the ins and outs of basic weaving using found materials. They’ll take home a wall hanging they can display to show their skills.
