The deadline for our Community Art Show, No Place Like Home, is Saturday. Nov. 12. That same day Kim LaClair will be teaching a Free Children’s Art Workshop on torn-paper collages, and artist Chris Bolduc has an adult workshop scheduled for Nov. 19 on visionary art. Our Annual Gala is scheduled for Monday, December 5, from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at the Omni Place in Fairlawn. Before then we still have FREE tickets available for this Friday’s Listening Room at Max on Main, and seats at our next Children’s Art Workshop on Torn-Paper Collages.

We’ve still got FREE tickets for our next First Friday Listening Room with musical duet, Ragtime Fred, or visit the Center to view our newest exhibit, Function Over Form? featuring fine arts crafts. Plus we’ve launched our Fall Membership Drive and the Community Foundation for the NRV has honored us with partial funding for their Responsive Grant.

The Fine Arts Center is pleased to announce a call for community artists for a show called “No Place Like Home” opening in December. And speaking of artists, our new invitational craft show opens next week with a reception on October 20. But that’s not all! “Ragtime Fred” is in the First Friday Listening Room on November 4, and make sure you HOLD THE DATE of Monday, December 5 for our Annual Gala.

Tickets are still available for some of our upcoming Listening Room concerts at Max on Main, including Georgia Randall on October 7, and Ragtime Fred on November 4. We’ve also just added popular flute and guitar duo, Frank and Flip, on January 6.

Children are invited to make their own Sharpie Mug on October 8, and the First Friday Listening Room will be open October 7 at Max on Main featuring Georgia Randall. The Edna B. Love Gallery features the work of more than 20 local artists in our current Menagerie exhibit. All of these are available for free!

Georgia Randall brings her unique song stylings to the October First Friday Listening Room on October 7, and we’re looking for additional local musicians to round out the concert series in the Spring.

This Saturday the Fine Arts Center will be hosting a free workshop for children on using alcohol ink between 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

This Friday, the Groove Houndz kick off the 2022-23 First Friday Listening Room at Max on Main and student artists are invited to a free workshop on alcohol ink painting on September 10.

Please join us for an opening reception for the artists of our popular Menagerie Exhibit on Thursday, August 25, from 5-7 p.m.

Join us for the opening of the First Friday Listening Room concert series with a FREE concert with local favorites, The Groove Houndz, who will be performing at Max on Main on September 2.

International award-winning and local NRV artist L.S. King will be at the Center Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to noon to help artists of all ages make their own relief printing using leaves from the Peak Creek ecosystem.

With the mission to showcase the art and artists of the New River Valley, we are glad to announce multiple opportunities for local artists to showcase and sell their work.

Members and those who wish to become members are invited to a meeting and reception at the Fine Arts Center on August 8.

The FACNRV is participating in the Give Local NRV day of giving sponsored by the Community Foundation of the New River Valley on Wednesday June 22, 2022, and we’d appreciate your support.

A reception for local artists L.S. King and Ken Smith will be hosted at the Fine Arts Center from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 17. The event will include an opportunity to meet the artists as well as make your own art inspired by the Peak Creek!
