More than 10 local wood artists have work for sale or for viewing at the Edna B. Love gallery now through January 6.

Today is “Giving Tuesday.” We’re not sure how November deserves the plethora of specially named days, but we appreciate you if you spent any of these days with the Fine Arts Center. Here’s how we give back to you from your investment.

We are pleased to announce we will once again be hosting our Holiday Gala. Save December 6 on your calendar! But in the meantime, join us in the Edna B. Love Gallery for a new show by talented local woodworkers.

This week at the Fine Arts Center, you can join Carol Smith for a make-and-take holiday card session and then come back next week to learn some calligraphy. Or you can enjoy songs, stories, and humor from Jim Lloyd in the Listening Room across the street at Max on Main.

The Fine Arts Center continues its First Friday Listening Room concert series with Appalachian musician, storyteller, and humorist Jim Lloyd from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 5.

The Fine Arts Center is glad to announce that Georgia Randall will kick off the 2021-22 Listening Room Concert Series on Friday, September 3 @ 6 p.m. with a fREE concert.

Parents are invited to sign their children up for a FREE Kids’ Art Café with artist Rhonda Whitehurst. The class will meet at the Center and student artists will learn techniques with a painting inspired by Van Gogh.
