 History

Our main location is a two-story brick building, built in 1898 and part of the Downtown Historic Landmark District.

Our Womens' Club Annex at 44 West Fourth Street includes a large hall with a small stage to house public functions, performances, and classes.

We are conducting a fund drive to restore the Rutherford Building, a generous gift by Mr. & Mrs.Dennis Rooker, from the estate of Mrs. Rutherford. It is  located on the prime route through Pulaski on Route 11, Virginia’s Wilderness Road Driving Trail.

We are supported by individual, family and corporate memberships, donations, memorials, the Town of Pulaski, Pulaski County, the C. E. Richardson Benevolent Foundation, The Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Center is governed by a working board of professionals from the community and isoperated by a full-time staff.

We are proud to provide the citizens of Southwest Virginia with a full range of programming, including the performing and visual arts, exhibits, lectures and art education classes.
